Lo! And behold! I opened a small gift, presented to me by my wonderful husband of more years than I will admit to here, and poof! Inside the box were the earrings I had lingered over while browsing the on-line catalog.
Well, that's almost a true telling. Minus a detail.
I had sent the link to my daughter with a "pretty" comment, who in turn sent the hint on her her father....you know the story. Anyway, he cared enough to suss it out with her before shopping blindly for a birthday gift. Consequently I have a new pair of favorite earrings.
